Why 5% for Animals?
Auntie Rana’s Childhood: We donate 5% of all sales to animals because it’s deeply personal to us—born from Auntie Rana’s profound sadness after witnessing how unchecked development and population mismanagement devastated the wildlife she once knew in Bangladesh.
Protecting the Disappearing: From Asian elephants and Bengal tigers to Irrawaddy dolphins, the animals that once filled her childhood with wonder are now disappearing, driving her passion to protect them.
Purposeful Giving: At Auntie Rana's, we wanted giving back to be an authentic part of our mission. It's not about blindly donating for a tax break—it’s about supporting causes that align with our values and heritage.
A Legacy of Wildlife Protection: Our grandparents played a pivotal role in founding the Dhaka Zoo, providing a haven for endangered species such as the Bengal Tiger and Asian Elephant. However, seeing the zoo deteriorate into an unsafe place for animals has deeply impacted Auntie Rana, fueling a desire to do more for wildlife.

5% for Animals: When you purchase Auntie Rana’s products, 5% of proceeds go directly toward helping animals in need. Your support funds impactful sanctuary partnerships, rehabilitation efforts, and long-term conservation projects—with transparent, reportable results.
Transparency: We’ll track every dollar, provide progress reports, and keep our conservation efforts fully open and accountable.
Sanctuary Partnerships: Initially funding reputable and established sanctuaries such as the Sundarbans Tiger Project in Bangladesh and the Wolf Conservation Center in North America to ensure immediate, high-impact care for endangered and rescued species.
Rehabilitation Focus: Prioritizing sanctuaries with proven track records in rehabilitating animals such as orcas. For example, the Vancouver Aquarium
Start-to-Finish Projects: Once established, transitioning to fully funded, independent projects, from animal rescue and habitat restoration to new sanctuary creation, inspired by examples such as the Ventana Wildlife Society for condors.
